Last summer, Rose Basa, Jho Fidel, Boying Resquites and Tere Panganiban had a mini reunion in New Jersey. That was fun!! Then we thought: what if we gather together our other once-upon-a-time-classmates hiding out in Florida and the West Coast? Wouldn't that be a riot?
We counted 11 batchmates scattered across North America and contacted them all. We also contacted some in the Philippines and Australia and haven't given up on those who have not returned our calls, e-mails and flyers.
Come to think of it: if none of our parents lied about our age when they enrolled us in Grade 1, we all turn 50 this year. So, this reunion is also a good converging point for celebrating our 50th birthday jointly!
And you know what else? Those from other batches heard about this event and expressed interest to come. So here we are, in North America, with an event that we believe is unprecedented not only in the history of Indang Elementary School but any elementary school in the Philippines (well, unless someone refutes that.)
